John White
John White has over 26 years of experience in the industry working for OEMs such as Acuson, Toshiba, Phillips, and GE. In 2001 he formed the company as a family operation that sold and installed ultrasound systems and trained veterinarians throughout the United States. Sales were brisk with the distribution rights to the Toshiba product line providing 3-4 system sales a month. A stellar reputation for taking care of the customer fueled growth. Outside sales reps were hired, clinical training personnel were added, and educational courses were created in conjunction with teaching Universities. SoundVision grew into a true distribution company with a direct sales model.
John White is the President of SoundVision / CVS. He provides strategic business vision, forges partner relationships and manages overall company objectives. He is currently overseeing the unification of SoundVision with CVS and evaluating new product offerings. Mr. White finds the process of engaging with some of the brightest medical minds of our day a source of constant enthusiasm.
Mr. White founded SoundVision in 2001 and oversaw its acquisition of CVS in February of 2008. Previous to founding SoundVision Mr. White worked in sales management at several of the top medical equipment OEMs such as Acuson, Toshiba, Phillips, and GE. He also has a background in teaching and has instituted an educational program at SoundVision that is second to none in the industry. With over 26 years of experience in the medical equipment industry and a network of connections with many of the top doctors, hospitals and clinics Mr. White knows the industry, its peoples, technology and challenges from the ground up.
Arlana Franklin
Arlana Franklin is the Manager of Education and Training at SoundVision / CVS. She directs all educational and training initiatives as well as providing management assistance in finance and sales as well. Ms. Franklin is currently leading the expansion of the training programs by developing new instructional materials and scheduling new forums. Arlana is passionate about learning and teaching having done research for several of the top hospitals and biotechnology companies since 1998.
Previous to joining SoundVision at its founding in 2001, Ms. Franklin worked as an independent consultant doing research and sonography for clients such as NASA, San Francisco General Hospital, Cytokinetics, and NAMSA. She has over 24 years of experience in sonography and management for organizations such as GE Medical systems, Phillips Medical systems and Hewlett Packard.
Ms. Franklin graduated in Radiology from Midwestern State University and holds certifications from the School of Cardiac Ultrasound at the Arizona Heart Institute & Adult & Pediatric Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound. She is also certified by the Institute of Ultrasound Diagnostics from Alabama for Abdomen, OB/GYN, Small Parts, and Neonatal Head. Ms. Franklin has had her research published in several journals.
Jonathan Ames
Jonathan Ames is the Director of Marketing at SoundVision / CVS. He leads all strategic market planning, global market expansion and tactical communications efforts. He is currently working on a brand integration initiative that will communicate the combined abilities of SoundVision and CVS to a global audience. Mr. Ames is passionate about web marketing, international communications and the blend between strategic planning and creative tactics.
Before joining SoundVision in 2008 Mr. Ames served as the Director of Marketing at Versadial where he controlled advertising, marketing communications, product development, channel programs, and international marketing. In this previous position he spearheaded a web-based Spanish-language marketing initiative that created new business in the Central and South American markets at a cost 1/3 lower than traditional costs.
Mr. Ames has held management positions at high tech and medical companies over the course of the past 11 years including advertising work for Intel, Iomega, Kodak and Minolta. Mr. Ames holds a masters degree in business administration from Baker College, and a B.A. in design from Brigham Young University.
Erika Lane
Erika Lane is a Sales Associate with SoundVision / CVS. She specializes in sales of Ultrasound parts and probes. She is currently leading a product research initiative to increase and improve the quality of Ultrasound system technical information available on the CVS website. Mrs. Lane loves the personal relationships she has formed in the industry and has built a large friendly network of Ultrasound parts/probe dealers. Mrs. Lane has worked in the Ultrasound industry since 2002 and at CVS since 2003.

Kirk Foate
Kirk Foate is a Partner and the General manager of CardioVascular Sales. He directly manages all OEM vendor and dealer partner relationships as well as the internal sales, service and parts departments at CVS. Mr. Foate is currently developing a network to bridge the gap between OEMs and 3rd party dealers.He is deeply involved in refining business processes at CVS and exporting them for use by CVS's dealer partners. He is also involved with domestic and international expansion plans. He is passionate about improving dealer and customer experience and strengthening the position of ultrasound technologies amid its competition from CT and MRI.
Mr Foate has over 20 years of total experience including OEM experience with Acuson, ATL/Phillips, and GE. He understands dealer concerns well as he launched his own medical imaging dealership in 1997 where he furthered his OEM relationships. He merged his company with CVS in 2004 to launch a private-label image management system. His skill in PACS and networking is a value he continues to offer to dealer partners that join CVS's network.
Mr. Foate has seen ultrasound progress from a new technology to it's current position as a mature product. He has a Bachelors of Science from San Jose State in Silicon Valley. He is happily married with one son and currently lives in San Diego.
Debbie Johnson
Debbie Johnson is the Manager of the parts department at SoundVision / CVS. She manages all incoming and outgoing inventory and evaluates and approves parts and probe repairs. Currently Debbie is overseeing the expansion of the department and the addition of new parts for several new product lines. Debbie finds client interaction her favorite part of her career and enjoys the long term relationships of trust she has been able to build in the industry.
Ms. Johnson joined the team at CVS in 2003. Previously she was a Market manager coordinator, directing a staff of two Market Managers and 22 representatives at Kodak. Ms. Johnson was pivotal in the development of CVS' proprietary software parts system that creates a level of quality control and efficiency in repair, refurbishing and inventory control far beyond any competitor in the industry.
Bill Ward
Bill Ward is the Manager of Omnicare service at SoundVision / CVS. He supervises all diagnostic and repair work done by SoundVision / CVS techs to assure quality and satisfaction. He manages field service calls, in-house repairs, tech support calls and tech training. His passion is keeping up to date with the latest technological advances in the medical field.
Mr. Ward has over 35 years of technical experience with diagnostic medical imaging (X-ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear medicine). Previous to joining CVS he worked in the technical support departments of GE Medical systems, Ultraserv, and Acuson. One of the accomplishments he is most proud of was helping Acuson move from being a start-up company to winning the Sammy Award for outstanding service in the medical service industry.
Mr. Ward is well known in the ultrasound service community and keeps his field service skills sharp by doing tough service calls himself. His wife is also a sonographer on the clinical side and they keep each other updated on their respective sides of the industry.
Bob Thomas
Bob Thomas is the Resource coordinator for Omnicare service at SoundVision / CVS. He oversees the OmniCare repair and maintenance with specialized technical experience with Philips, Agilent and GE equipment. He supervises contracts and negotiations as well as coordinating resources to meet service needs and goals. His current mission is to build OmniCare into the premier customer support network in North America.
Mr. Thomas has over 30 years of technical experience with medical electronics. Previous to joining CVS he worked at Hoffrel instruments, Diasonics and ATL. His technical skill and affable personality have help him move up consistently from senior customer support rep, to area specialist, training and publications manager, training instructor and finally as acting regional manager . In 1994 Mr. Thomas founded Medatek, building an extensive network of ultrasound techs to support small ultrasound dealers.
Mr. Thomas has extensive technical and management training. He himself has trained scores of technicians across the U.S. and in the Orient. He remains in a cooperative network with other skill medical techs, keeping pace with an ever evolving industry.
