 
Sale of Agilent to Philips
On August 1, 2001, Agilent finalized the sale of its Healthcare Solutions Group
(HSG) to Philips Medical Systems. HSG's portfolio of products and services --
including patient monitoring, cardiac ultrasound imaging, resuscitation, and
information management -- greatly expands the breadth and depth of Philips
Medical Systems, one of the largest medical systems companies in the world.
